Story-led content for places worth discovering.

Photo and social for boutique stays, thoughtful homes and the people behind them.

Where this starts

Every place has something worth capturing.

When you’re around a place every day, it’s easy to miss the little things that make it what it is. So it starts with getting to know the place, having a look around and seeing what stands out.

Then it’s about capturing those things in a way that feels natural, whether that’s through photographs, video or a bit of both.

Who’s behind it

Hello, I’m Lily.

I’m Lily, a photographer and content creator based in Malvern, at the foot of the hills.

I’m more interested in capturing what makes a place feel nice to be in than making everything look perfect. The way the light comes in, the little details, the spaces people naturally gravitate towards, and all the things that give somewhere its own feel.

I think those details are often what make people connect with a place, rather than just how it looks in a photo.

Before Nested, I spent four years running social for the founder of one of the UK’s biggest fitness brands. Then I packed up and moved to Australia, where I worked for a travel company promoting the East Coast while road-tripping around it myself and taking photos along the way.

Now I’m back in Malvern, and Nested is really a mix of everything I love doing: photography, storytelling, experiencing beautiful places, and finding the things that make somewhere worth visiting.

The road here

Six years of working in social, and a lot of learning along the way.

Where I’ve worked, and what the numbers did while I was there.

Social Media & Communication Lead

Ben Francis, Gymshark · Solihull, UK

Four years running Ben’s personal channels across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube, covering everything from strategy and content planning to filming, editing and writing.

A lot of that time was spent travelling with him and creating content as we went, which gave me a pretty unique look at what happens behind the scenes of one of the UK’s biggest fitness brands. It taught me a lot about building a personal brand, telling stories and creating content that people actually want to follow.

My cat, on the internet

I started making videos of my cat, Gus, in 2023. It was meant to be a bit of fun, and it then did considerably better than anything I had made on purpose, which taught me more about what actually makes people stop and watch than any amount of strategy would have.

Welcome to Travel · Melbourne, Australia

In 2024 I packed up and moved to Australia. With Welcome to Travel I was lucky enough to capture the landscapes and experiences of the East Coast through photography and social content: shooting on the road alongside travellers, showing the reality of what a working holiday visa can actually look like, and hopefully talking the next person into going.

What I do

Two ways of working, roughly.

Some places need the whole lot, some just need a good set of photographs. Either works for me. If you’re not sure what would be most useful, just tell me what you’re trying to achieve and I’ll tell you what I’d do.

01 · Ongoing

Social Media Management

For places that would rather not think about it. I plan it, shoot it, write it and post it, and you get on with running the place.

  • Monthly content strategy & grid planning
  • On-location shoot day, every month
  • Editing, captions and scheduling
  • Reels and short-form film
  • Community management & DMs
  • Monthly reporting

02 · Project

Content Creation

A day or two on site, shot as the place actually is. You end up with a library of photos and clips to draw on for months, and you post them yourself.

  • Half-day and full-day shoots
  • Photography & short-form film
  • Delivered edited, sized and ready to post
  • Full commercial usage rights, always

What it costs

Roughly what it costs.

I’d rather you knew where you stood before we speak. These are the rates I work to. The numbers move a bit depending on how much there is to do, and some pieces take a lot longer to put together than others.

01

By the hour

If you just need better pictures.

£45 an hour

  • Photography and short-form film
  • Editing charged at the same rate
  • Half days and full days both fine
  • Everything sent over for you to approve
  • The photos and clips are yours to keep
Ask me about it

02

One day a week

If you want a proper run at it.

£1,120 a month

  • Works out at £35 an hour
  • One full day a week, four days a month
  • Shooting and editing, split how you like
  • Planning, captions and posting
  • Rolling monthly, one month’s notice
  • Everything yours to keep
Ask me about it

03

Two days a week

If you’d rather hand the whole thing over.

£1,920 a month

  • Works out at £30 an hour
  • Two full days a week, eight days a month
  • Everything in the one-day week
  • More filming, or more channels
  • Replying to comments and DMs
  • Rolling monthly, one month’s notice
Ask me about it
  • A full day is 8 hours and a half day is 4, and the monthly prices are based on four weeks.
  • Expenses aren’t included: travel, accommodation and anything else a job needs are added on top, so you can see exactly what they are.
  • The monthly options are rolling, with one month’s notice either way.

Questions

A few things worth knowing.

Anywhere in the UK, from a base in Malvern, Worcestershire. Travel and any other expenses are added on separately rather than buried in the rate, so you can see exactly what they are before we start.

No, and it often doesn’t matter. If you’re still finishing, we can shoot whatever’s ready and come back for the rest. Sometimes the building process is part of the story too.

You do. I only ask that I can show the work in my own portfolio.

Got a place you’d like me to look at?

Tell me what you’ve got and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right person for it. Happy to just talk it through, either way.
